A bespoke spotted gum exterior for this Year 9 campus in Sunbury

This double-storey education facility, designed by architects McIldowie Partners was designed to become part of an existing structure and house a new Year 9 Campus at Salesian College in Sunbury. Links and deck areas join the new buildings with the refurbished shearing shed, retaining the original character of the campus and its surrounds.

 

The new addition, with four studios, two staff rooms, a large breakout area and bathroom facilities, was originally designed for an in-situ build but instead was manufactured in only four months.

The prefabricated steel building incorporated suspended ceilings and stunning timber cladding resulting in a true architectural statement.
