Clad in highly robust vitreous enamel panels the Heatherdale Station achieves anti-vandalism qualities.

The level crossing at Heatherdale Road was removed as part of the Victorian government Level Crossing Removal Project and trains on the Belgrave/Lilydale line are now running underneath the road.

A project team including Prebuilt, Level Crossing Removal Authority, CPB Contractors, Aurecon and Arcadis worked together to complete Heatherdale Station and Heatherdale Road. The project team has also worked together to remove two more level crossings at Main Road and Furlong Road in St Albans.

Heatherdale Railway Station used modular building methods to deliver a fast-tracked timeline and high-quality construction whilst extensive earth works creating a new rail corridor were completed onsite.

A combination of seven module types includes extended eave overhangs, high ceilings, finished bathrooms, offices, IT and customer service spaces.
