Prebuilt Commercial was appointed as prefab builder for an innovative new building for St John’s Anglican Church, Highton – a suburb in Geelong, Victoria.
After being directly approached by the church, Prebuilt Commercial recommended tessellate a+d as the architects to reconsider original concepts and design a striking addition to the existing historical church on site.
The new building suits the church’s needs and fulfills the brief of providing an interesting built form through the architect’s careful planning. It also provides for an efficient construction method, minimizing disruption to the church’s busy schedule, while still meeting budget constraints.
The prefabricated church design takes full advantage of Prebuilt Commercial’s innovative construction methods, using double height sections for the cloister walkway and entry modules, and large span spaces for the multi-purpose hall.
