This home is situated on top of a hill, connected to a rammed-earth garage via a glass link. An organically shaped rammed-earth wall acts as a grounding plinth.
The home features three bedrooms, an open-plan kitchen, meals and living area, a big country-style walk-through pantry that leads to the glass link and a second, more intimate living room. All of this fits within just three modules arranged around an internal courtyard that offers shelter from the prevailing winds. The custom modular home’s courtyard is partly covered from rain and sun by an operable pergola.
A smaller west-facing deck outside the meals area allows the owners to relax outside on warm days and take in the breathtaking views of Anderson Inlet and Eagles Nest. To the north a large partly covered central courtyard deck hugged by the main living and bedrooms, allows the owners to entertain and open up the house, whilst hiding from the strong winds and enjoying the views of the rolling hills of the hinterland.
These include the location, block conditions, access and local council restrictions. Our team are happy to discuss how we can work with you to create an architecturally designed home.
