Lake Wendouree House
With solar passive design this compact house is the epitomy of efficiency on a tight urban block
Designed for a 350sqm site the Lake Wendouree house packs a lot into a compact modular home.
The house shares its locale with a neighbouring church which is referenced in the selection of recycled bricks for the garage and entry plinth to the house, complementing the stained timber cladding dark tones.
The curved entry provides an engaging entry into a stunning timber lined hallway flowing into bedroom spaces.
Careful consideration of orientation during concept design produced north facing open plan living areas that spill out to a strikingly landscaped outdoor space. An operable louvre provides sun control and creates an outdoor room, usable in all seasons.
Muted interior tones of soft grey and natural timber provide a warm and welcoming space to come home to.
