Snow Retreat:

The very busy, Sunbury based Carland family of six all of whom love skiing decided that after four seasons of renting ski chalets that it might be more cost effective to own their own. For a relatively modest sum they saw a Prebuilt house and land package in Sawmill Settlement, only 16 kms from the top of Mt Buller and only 2 minutes from the toll gate.
The key objectives for their home were that it:
- could allow them to enjoy their bush block
- had a usable loft area for watching tv and back up bedding
- had a fully waterproofed entry area for removing wet clothes and ski gear
- had a good sized drying room
- had a spa bath
- could comfortably sleep the family of six adults plus a few friends
- was great during winter and summer
